PC Console Commands & Codes
How to Bring Up the PC Console
Add the line “+seta com_allowconsole 1″ without quotations in the game’s shortcut. Right-click the .exe file, choose Properties and add to the Target field.
It should look like this:
“[Install Location]\Doom3BFG.exe” +seta com_allowconsole 1
Common Example: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Doom 3 BFG Edition\Doom3BFG.exe” +seta com_allowconsole 1
In the target line, don’t forget to put a space after “Doom3BFG.exe”.
Bring up the console in-game with the [~] key.

Fov
DOOM 3 BFG – How to Change FOV By default, the FOV is capped to 60, which can be annoying for many PC gamers. If you want to change it, you should use the following command in the launch parameters:
+set g_fov XX
XX here is the FOV value you want to use.
För er som tycker att spelet ska se mer ut som doom 3:
Anyone finding that it is too bright, type this into the console, or add to a custom CFG
set r_lightscale "1"
Then, set the below value to 1.0
set r_overbright "1.0"
This puts it back to Doom 3 lighting...or, at least mimmicks it. I think they are also using Shatter lighting, which brightens it.
Also, add this line:
Seta image_usenormalcompression "0"
This will help lean towards Ultra Quality more, since the only difference between Ultra mode and High quality mode, is compression and Doom 3 BFG runs in High Quality mode by default, with no option for otherwise, unless you dive into the CFG.
Also, make sure the below is set to "0"
seta image_usecompression "0"
Or anything else having to do with compression
Have not experimented with the below, old Doom 3 tweaks.
seta image_compressBump "0" seta image_compressDiffuse "0" seta image_compressSpecular "0" seta image_filter "GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_NEAREST" (this use to be better than LINEAR in DOOM 3 original. Default is LINEAR, instead of NEAREST)
